 A Street Accident I Witnessed

Yesterday I witnessed an accident near our school playground. The accident took place in the street in front of our school. It was afternoon and I was playing with my friends. Suddenly we heard a harsh sound. I saw that a fast moving truck was coming towards our school gate. It reached very soon at our school gate. Unfortunately, a little boy was crossing the road at that very moment. He did not notice the truck. Again, the driver also failed to control the speed of the truck and it hit the boy. When we arrived at the spot, we found the boy covered with blood. The driver fled away. However, we immediately took the boy to the nearby hospital, but we could not save him. I felt very sad and guilty. Now I strongly want to stop road accident. At first, we need to make people aware of traffic rules. Besides, our roads should be made wider and more roads are also needed.
